Why are your websites so narrow?
Many of my older websites are narrow because they were designed for viewing by older computers with narrow screens. As I develop new sites, I am making them wider to adjust to the new wider computer screens.

Why are some of your websites wider?
These are my newer websites. They have been built to accommodate the newer wider screens.

Why are your designs so vastly different?
Again, the customer knows best. I start with a suggested design then work with my client until we get a design that makes the customer happy. My web designs reflect my customer's preferences.

Why don't you use Flash?
Flash is great if your client has a flash player on their computer. If they don't, they can't view your flash movies which is dissappointing to your customer.

(Also, I haven't learned the technology yet. Customers are asking for this, so since the "Customer is always right", I will ultimately be using Flash. I just have to find the time to learn it!)

Why does it cost more for an E-Commerce Hosting Account?
You pay more for an E-Commerce Hosting Account because you are getting more: a secure server and a shopping cart. The additional fee covers these extra services.

Why can't you host my web site?
I can better serve my clients if my energy is devoted to creating and maintaining high quality websites. If I am fussing with the problems associated with maintaining internet servers (hosting accounts), I can't give my web design clients the attention they deserve.

How many bills can I expect to receive after my website is done?
The year that you have your website built, you can expect to receive the following bills:

Web Design - Hesperus Web Design
Domain Name - American Data Technology (or the company of your choice)
Internet Hosting Company - American Data Technology

If you elect to conduct E-commerce, expect an additional bill from your Merchant Account company of choice.
